Start is an initiative from The Prince's Charities Foundation to help people across the UK lead more sustainable lives. To show what a more energy efficient, cleaner and healthier future could look like, they want to move the emphasis from ‘stopping’ and concentrate on ‘starting’. This year we’re working with them to help turn one million promises of more sustainable behaviour into action with a variety of offers and incentives.

Global Cool

Global Cool is a green lifestyle organisation that inspires people to think and live differently. They work with celebrities and the entertainment industry to promote innovative ideas for leading a greener life without sacrificing everything that’s enjoyable. The Ashden Awards

Sustainability experts Ashden champion practical, local energy solutions that cut carbon, protect the environment, reduce poverty and improve people’s lives. With the Eurostar Ashden Award for Sustainable Travel we’re working with them to recognise sustainable transport projects in the UK, France and Belgium that are innovative, clear, measurable and proven.

Worn Again

Worn Again is an upcycling company that makes new, design-led products from corporate waste materials. We’ve worked with them to recycle our staff uniforms into bags for our Train Managers, which have even made it into London’s Design Museum. Best Foot Forward

Since 1997 Best Foot Forward has successfully helped more than 100 organisations measure, manage, communicate and reduce the environmental impact of their operations, products, services and events. And now they’re helping us do the same by working with us to calculate our own carbon footprint across our whole company for 2010.

Young Peoples Trust for the Enviroment

Eurostar is supporting the work of the Young People's Trust for the Environment, a charity founded in 1982 to encourage young people's understanding of the environment and the need for sustainability. Their aim is to give young people a real awareness of environmental problems, such as disappearing wildlife, the pollution of soil, air and water, the destruction of rainforests and wetlands, the spread of desert regions and the misuse of the oceans. At the same time they're offering a message of optimism that things can change for the better and that today's young people can be part of that change.

ICE

We’ve joined the Ice programme to reward people who make sustainable choices. Ice brings together a wide range of partners offering environmentally friendly products and services, from everyday essentials to enticing gifts and treats.
