The Eurostar Ashden Award for Sustainable Travel

There’s plenty we can do to make going further by train more appealing, but travel closer to home also has a huge part to play.

Throughout the UK, France and Belgium hundreds of innovative, practical projects are making a difference to the way people travel every day. And while they may be local in spirit we want to help spread the word to a wider audience.

Practical, proven ideas

With the Eurostar Ashden Award for Sustainable Travel we’re looking to promote local sustainable travel initiatives in the UK, France and Belgium.

We’re working with sustainability experts Ashden to recognise sustainable travel projects that are innovative, clear, measurable and proven. The award will include a prize fund and a host of benefits aimed at raising awareness of the winning programme.

From July to October 2011 we’ll be calling for entries from the UK, France and Belgium, before the first round of selections in November. Judging will then take place between January and April 2012 before the awards ceremony itself in June.
