Eurostar loves your luggage
We love luggage. We want to take care of your luggage and in our experience; the best person to do that is you. And in most cases, that's exactly what will happen. This means that when you travel with us, you don't need to check it in - just take it straight onto the train. Unless you have more than two big bags or you happen to be a cellist (see below).
Registered Luggage for large items or people with more than two bags
If you have more than two items of luggage (as well as your hand luggage) or if you're travelling with bicycles, sporting weapons or large musical instruments (a cello, for example), you should use our registered baggage service. The service operates between London, Paris, Brussels and Lille Eurostar terminals and whatever you register will be ready for collection within twenty-four hours of registering it.
If customers do want to travel with their musical instrument, they must be charged a child fare (Standard or First) for it and tickets must be checked in. For anything that isn't clear about registering your luggage, feel free to call us on 08705 850 850 for further details.
Baggage may be registered up to 10 days before your date of travel or on the day of travel itself. Sorry but this service is not available from Ashford International.
Items not accepted as registered baggage include:
- Animals
- Any item exceeding 2 metres in length
- Bulky or excessively heavy articles
- Dangerous items such as offensive weapons, explosives, inflammable substances or articles, oxidising, toxic, radioactive or corrosive substances, or substances that are malodorous or likely to cause infection
- All products classified as non-prescription drugs, narcotics and all other illegal or dangerous substances or goods.
