Using the fare guide when making an Elgar reservation

  • Select the fare you require. Check the fare conditions.

  • Find the two-letter ELGAR class of service by reading along the same line as the fare. For example, the Leisure Flexi fare in First Class is represented by the AT Class of Service.

When you check the availability display in ELGAR, the Class of Service will appear with the number of seats available on a particular train. For example, if AT30 appears, there are 31-40 seats available at that fare on the train displayed. The key to availability codes is found in the Availability section of the ELGAR User Guide.

  • Sell the number of seats needed in the ELGAR Class of Service.

  • Fare quote using the ELGAR passenger type. Find the code on the next column along from the Class of Service. The passenger type is a two-letter code for Galileo users and a three-letter code for Amadeus, Sabre and Worldspan users.

  • Follow the formats in the Fares section of the ELGAR User Guide when fare quoting. Only one passenger type can be used when fare quoting, with the exception of the child fare, which can be combined with any adult fare.
