High Speed 1

St Pancras

St Pancras

A London landmark

St Pancras International is the starting point for High Speed 1 - the UK's first high-speed line linking the centre of London with Continental high-speed lines. So average journey times between London, Paris and Brussels will be reduced by at least 20 minutes - which means we can get our clients to visit the sights of Paris or get to their business meeting quicker than ever before.

Journey times will be the fastest ever from central London:

St Pancras International to mid-morning croissants in Paris in just 2h 15
St Pancras International to a mug of hot chocolate in Brussels in 1h 51
St Pancras International to a spot of shopping in Lille in 1h 20
When we launch services on 14 November 2007 from St Pancras International it will mark a new era for international train travel. The station will be a London landmark - a place for people to visit even if they don't have a train to catch.

Europe's first destination station will have a world-class brasserie, arcade shopping and a daily farmer's market selling the very best, fresh British produce. And to add a little sparkle to your day you will be able to visit 1868, Europe's longest champagne bar, which overlooks the hustle and bustle of the platforms.

The jewel in Eurostar's crown is the single-span glass roof of the original Barlow Shed, which was once the largest enclosed space in the world. Eurostar will be the only train to glide under this magnificent structure and into the heart of the station, allowing our travellers to rediscover the true art of travel.

The undercroft at St Pancras International originally stored barrels of beer from the famous Burton breweries. Soon, it will support an impressive champagne bar, not to mention six new Eurostar platforms. Beer lovers can rest easy: you'll still get a very good pint at the station pub.

St Pancras

Ebbsfleet

Soon after we launch our services from St Pancras International, Eurostar will open Ebbsfleet International station offering services to Paris, Brussels and Lille. Located less than 3 miles from junction 2 of the M25 and close to the Dartford Crossing and Bluewater shopping centre, Ebbsfleet International will offer 9,000 car parking spaces. There will also be a high-frequency Fastrack bus service linking to local railway stations at Dartford, Greenhithe, Northfleet and Gravesend as well as Bluewater.

Journey times from Ebbsfleet International to the Continent will be 10 minutes less than from St Pancras International, which means…

Ebbsfleet International to a croque-monsieur in Paris in just 2h 5
Ebbsfleet International to warm waffles in Brussels in 1h 41
Ebbsfleet International to a Flemish beer (or two) in Lille in 1h 10

Early morning trains from Ebbsfleet International will be timed to ensure that UK business travellers can reach Paris, Brussels or Lille in time to do a full day's work. Canary Wharf can be reached in around 30 minutes so it's well-placed for business travellers

Ebbsfleet International will be an ideal option for the many Eurostar travellers who currently drive to their local station and use domestic rail to reach Waterloo or Waterloo East.
