Class of service rebooking

Using Best buy effectively in Galileo
Using the FQBB entry gives the cheapest fare available and shows the new applicable booking classes. We always advise using 'Best buy' with caution. Here are some tips to get most out of it when using for Eurostar.

Before ending a booking

  1. Book your sectors choosing J or Y class and enter FQBB.
  2. You will see the cheapest fare available with the new sector related booking classes.
  3. You can use either FQBBK to rebook the classes or the manual entry to change the sectors to the new classes e.g. @1/Q change sector 1 to Q class. Be aware that the sector status will change to NN.
  4. You must then use the following entries e.g. @1/1 and @2/1 to change the status for both sectors to HS.
  5. You can then end the booking in the normal way. Ensure you check seat details and Vendor remarks for the ticketing time limit. Always check the sectors' status after booking has been ended.

After ending a booking
Please cancel sectors, Receive and ER and rebook sectors in the appropriate class.

Always check fare conditions and penalties

Important! How to choose a fare:

Follow the instructions below on how to book either fully flexible, semi flexible or non flexible fares. The GDS booking class does not necessarily reflect a particular ticket type. Don't forget to check fare notes for ticket conditions and class of travel.

Return journeys that require fares with different ticket conditions e.g. London-Paris fully flexible and Paris-London non-flexible must be booked as one ways in separate PNRs.

Please note that leisure RIT fares are not available on GDS.

Fully flexible fares

Fully flexible fares are exchangeable and refundable up to 2 months after departure

1 Decide on your on board class of travel. Use J for Business Premier or Y for Standard class (for booking up until 31 August 2010) or a combination of the two.
2 Fare quote using FQAC9F/PE00 and display the appropriate list of fares below

Semi-flexible fares

Semi flexible fares in Business Premier (C and D class) are exchangeable with a fee before and up to 2 months after departure and some Leisure Select/Standard Premier*and Standard fares are exchangeable with a fee only before departure.

Please note, from 1 September 2010 C & D class will no longer be available. Please refer to the fare guide for more information.

1

In some circumstances when booking in Leisure Select/Standard Premier* or Standard class, it may be necessary to force in a semi-flexible fare, if only a cheaper non-flexible fare is offered, please refer to the semi-flexible fare basis codes on the fares pages

For example, use the entry FQ@HEERT to quote the semi-flexible Saturday night away.

Child, Senior and Youth fares

Child fares are available in Leisure Select/Standard Premier* and Standard classes (not in Business Premier). In order to price a single child the NN in the passenger type CNN must be replaced with the passenger age, and the system must be told that the child will be accompanied on the service by using the /ACC modifier FQ*C10/ACC/C9F. Call Eurostar for agents on 08448 224334 to arrange seating with the adult booking.

Senior fares are available in Standard classes V, Q, N, K, M, H and B. (V is only available for return journeys). Add *SRC to your entries in the normal way, e.g. FQ*SRC/C9F

Youth fares are available in Standard classes V, Q, N, K, M, H and B (V is only available for return journeys). Add *YTH to your entries in the normal way, e.g. FQ*YTH/C9F.

* Our new Standard Premier class is on sale as of 5 May, for travel from 1 September onwards, and will replace our current Leisure Select class.
