Things to remember!
Using Best buy effectively in Galileo
Using the FQBB entry gives the cheapest fare available and shows the new applicable booking classes. We always advise using 'Best buy' with caution. Here are some tips to get most out of it when using for Eurostar.
Before ending a booking
- Book your sectors choosing J or Y class and enter FQBB.
- You will see the cheapest fare available with the new sector related booking classes.
- You can use either FQBBK to rebook the classes or the manual entry to change the sectors to the new classes e.g. @1/Q change sector 1 to Q class. Be aware that the sector status will change to NN.
- You must then use the following entries e.g. @1/1 and @2/1 to change the status for both sectors to HS.
- You can then end the booking in the normal way. Ensure you check seat details and Vendor remarks for the ticketing time limit. Always check the sectors' status after booking has been ended.
After ending a booking
Please cancel sectors, Receive and ER and rebook sectors in the appropriate class.
If using the FQBB++-BUSNS entry be aware that this may offer fares in the Standard Premier range (Z,I,G,S).
Always check fare conditions and penalties
- Availability - In order to display all Eurostar services, not just those non-stop services, use A10JUNLONPAR*9F or A10JUNQQSXPG*9F. If a train which stops does not appear in order, use AM*9F until the train appears. If doing Lon-Par availability, always check station codes to ensure you do not book Ebbsfleet instead of St Pancras.
- To check availability for all booking classes use A@#Line number.
- Use your Galileo ‘encode’ or ‘decode’ command to check station codes.
- Do not book multiple sectors
- Combining Eurostar and Air/Hotels - please e-ticket and price separately.

Return journeys that require fares with different ticket conditions e.g. London-Paris fully flexible and Paris-London non-flexible must be booked as one ways in separate PNRs.
Booking horizon
UK agents
- You may check availability and make reservations up to 120 days in advance. Disney trains may vary, for more information refer to eurostar4agents.
US agents
- You may check availability and make reservations up to 270 days in advance.
Open jaws
Open jaws are not supported.
- For journeys that involve St Pancras / Ebbsfleet / Ashford combinations, book a return ticket to St Pancras and ensure train stops at required station.
- For journeys out to one destination and back from another, e.g. London - Paris / Brussels - London a combination of one ways will be required in seperate PNR's.
Names
For double-barrelled names, please remove any spaces and hyphens e.g. Miss Emily Langley-Parker should be entered as LANGLEYPARKER/E
Profiles
Can be used for booking Eurostar where the name field complies with the above.
Duplicate names
Identical names within same PNR will cause booking to reject as a duplicate
Eg: Partridge/CMr and Partridge/CMr
Or
Polle/SusanMs and Polle/SusanMs
To avoid your booking rejecting, use combination of initials and/or names
Eg Partridge/ChrisMr and Partridge/ChristopherMr or Partridge/CMr and Partridge/ChrisMr
