Changes to Itinerary before e-ticketing
- Short cut change entries are not available
- Changes to time/date are made in the normal way. Always IR to check new seats and ticketing time limit.
- Changes that involve rebooking the same train e.g. change of booking class, must be done in 2 transactions (see example below).
Rebooking on same train example (must be done in 2 transactions)
- Cancel sector no longer required. Receive from and ER.
- Display availability and request the new sector.
- Receive from and ER the booking.
- Ignore and retrieve the booking to refresh the display and check SSRs are displayed.
For seat changes made by E4A before you have issued the ticket
Client can collect ticket as normal from the e-ticketing machine - the new seat number will appear on the printed ticket but will not reflect in the GDS booking.
